I just came back from two amazing and soul-nourishing poet weekends.
It is always so wonderful to meet other artists, poets and writers. And I really, really can recommend this whenever you have the chance to join one. The atmosphere is usually so very welcoming (I will post some tips and addresses below). Speaking of this: Paula and I are creating an artist weekend too.
You don‘t have to call yourself an artist to be part of our retreat. Curiosity is all that counts.

These experiences are always so rich and heart-opening. I can really recommend Paula‘s creative courses. Absolutely love them. This is the second time we are creating a soul-nourishing and creative course together.

Paula and I will host an Info-Webinar about our upcoming Art & Soul Retreat:
It will feel like home.

- Wednesday, Dec 17
Feel invited! Come and bring your questions!
12 pm EST (USA and Canada, Toronto)
– 9 am PT (Los Angeles)
– 6 pm CET (Berlin, Paris)
– 5 pm BST (London)
Register here, so we know you are joining the Zoom meeting. And you get the link.
You also can contact us if you can‘t make Wednesday. We will organize a second date. You are also welcome to write us and ask us any questions. We are here for you.

Remember who you are: Creating art is, for both of us, a birthright. We believe, when we allow ourselves to create art, life fills itself with more ease and feels natural.
Allow yourself to dream!
Imagine a week where time slows down.
Where the scent of lemon trees drifts through the air, laughter echoes through Italian alleys, and your days are filled with art, connection, and magic. I welcome you to my second home. I know this place well because my parents live here.

We are so excited about this journey and look forward to welcoming you.
My friend and artist Paula and I have put together 8 days of soul-nourishing art-making, deep rest and enchanted exploration in Le Marche, Italy – a region often called Tuscany’s quiet sister.
Together we’ll explore embroidery, journaling, and storytelling. Stroll the fairytale streets of Petritoli, pause for espresso and reflection, hike to hidden waterfalls near Sarnano and stitch beneath ancient olive trees.

Register above to secure your free spot for the webinar.

Five recommondations for poet and writer retreats and soul-nourishing poetry courses:
1. European Writer‘s Salon. (Really can recommend the journey to Berlin and Madrid next year)
Berlin
I have been part of the reading at a wonderful venue in Berlin. Loved and enjoyed the welcoming and friendly audience there and meet other poets and writers.
Brussels
… is an amazing city, too (like Berlin)
Here I provided and co-hosted a creative poetry workhop on the topic writing yourself home together with Emma Hibou in September. The Writer‘s Salon team organizes everything so beautifully and put their heart into everything.
2. The Feedback group by Cath Drake
She offers small-group intensive and monthly poetry feedback workshops. I love that we are a small and consistent group. People really stay for a long time. The next term starts in May. I also love her poetry masterclasses with amazing teachers.
Google „Cath Drake‘s Verandah“
3. Online course by John McCullough
It is simply amazing. Especially the presence of John McCullough makes the atmosphere so welcoming. Lucy Heuschen recommended this course to me. And now I recommend it to you. And of course, I really, really loved it. It was a Tuesday intensive and happening weekly over 3 months. I had always wanted to take part in a weekly course.
Next term starts in January or again in October via The Creative Writing Programme. (I will sign up in January for October 20-week course)
4. My German Stanza
Monthly poetry online group hosted by the wonderful Lucy Heuschen.
Contact me, if you are interested to join. This is my safe place to land and be among a wonderful group of friends.
This group is associated with the Poetry Society. DM me if you are interested.
5. Being part of the community of Yaffles Press and the Book Pub Club
I am creating my next, and upcoming book with them. Really love and cherish their community.
This really feels like home. I really cherish being a student of Mark Connors. I feel I learn so much. And I enjoy this.
They also host regular challenges. Check out their pages on Facebook and their website (easy to Google and find).
6. And of course … there will be our Art & Soul Retreat to Italy
